Music in the Park

Take your lunch to the recently upgraded Veterans Park in front of Port Coquitlam City Hall (2580 Shaughnessy St.) for the city’s music series from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is weather permitting and includes games in partnership with the Downtown PoCo BIA.

Chinese Exhibit Talk

Coquitlam Heritage’s Markus Fahrner and Emily Zhang lead a curator’s talk about the new exhibit at the City Centre branch of the Coquitlam Public Library (1169 Pinetree Way) from noon to 5 p.m. The display, titled Chinese Immigration Act 1923, is presented in English and Mandarin.

Meet the Metro Vancouver vendors at this week’s Port Coquitlam Farmers Market, which runs at the Terry Fox Hometown Square behind the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) from 3 to 7 p.m. Bring your shopping bags and talk with the food producers and artisans while enjoying the music.

Art 4 Life is 10

It’s the 10th year for PoMoArts’ Art 4 Life exhibition and the 2023 kicks off with a reception at the venue (2425 St. Johns St., Port Moody) from 6 to 8 p.m. The group display is geared for the young and young-at-heart, with inspiring art for the whole family. The show runs until Oct. 26.
