Pack your grocery bags full with fresh produce and wares from the Coquitlam Farmers Market, happening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot next to the Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave.). Children can also take part in the POP (Power of Produce) program.

Mid-autumn Fest
Celebrate mid-autumn with the Tri-City Chinese Community Society at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) where, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 10, there will be dozens of performances and art shows, as well as games and activities for the public. Proceeds support PoCo Heritage.

Pooch Art
Take your dog to Place des Arts in Coquitlam (1120 Brunette Ave.) for a pARTy@PdA: Pawcasso Edition. Have your dog walk on your canvas then fill in the blanks for an abstract masterpiece. Non-toxic paints will be provided. The event is for adults only. A cash bar will be open.

Ditch the Car
Park your vehicle and walk to downtown Port Coquitlam for the city’s first Car Free Day, taking place on Sept. 10 from noon to 8 p.m. along McAllister Avenue. The party is sponsored by the city, the Downtown PoCo BIA and TransLink.
