Art Reception
Meet the artists behind three new exhibitions opening this month at Place des Arts in Coquitlam (1120 Brunette Ave.): Your Art, Your Reflections: Multiculturalism, Diversity and Anti-Racism by the Asian Impact Society; Creative Connections by SD43 art teachers; and All My Relations curated by Christine Mackenzie. The Centennial Centaurs host Holy Cross in preseason senior high school football at Centennial's new turf field (Winslow Avenue and Poirier Street). The Centaurs are coming off a 21-14 win over Mt. Boucherie in their exhbition opener last Friday. Game time is 6 p.m.
Movie Buffs
Penelope Cruz, Javier Barden and Ricardo Darin star in the flick Everybody Knows that will be screened by the Port Moody Film Society at the Inlet Theatre (100 Newport Dr., Port Moody) at 7:30 p.m. The story is about a Spanish woman living in Buenos Aires who returns home to near Madrid with her two children for her sister’s wedding. The drama/crime/mystery is rated R and runs 2:13 minutes. Admission is $5 plus a $5 annual society membership.
