Woodland walk

Take a walk through Pinecone Burke Provincial Park — along the Woodland Walk Trail — to see the mature second-growth forest and Saw Blade Falls. The roundtrip is 11.5 km with an elevation gain of 300 m. Meet at 8 a.m.

Seniors health fair

The Wilson Seniors Advisory Board and the City of Port Coquitlam host the second annual Seniors Health and Wellness Fair, on from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Mabbett Hall at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.). The event caps off Seniors Week in PoCo. Attendees can get advice from health professionals, including denturists, dental hygienists, hearing experts, home care service professionals, pharmacists, recreational leaders and housing officials — at no cost.

Young musicians

Support the Coquitlam Youth Orchestra as it winds up its season with three concerts at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way): The junior orchestra plays at 11:30 a.m., seniors at 12:45 p.m. and intermediates at 2:30 p.m.

Teddy bear fun

Families can take their young ones to the annual Teddy Bear Children’s Concert at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam (1299 Pinetree Way) for music and fun from 3 to 5 p.m. Mr. I and the Musical Rainbow Students hit the stage at 3 p.m. while Music with Marnie is on at 4 p.m.

Legion music

Dance to the music of RePlay, which plays at the Coquitlam branch of the Royal Canadian Legion (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) from 7 to 11 p.m.

Sport your Coquitlam Adanacs jersey as the lacrosse team battles the Nanaimo Timbermen at 7 p.m. at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St., Coquitlam).

Brand Brilliance is the name of the Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble’s show at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20/$15/$12.

Salsa dancing

Grab your friends for the Salsa Dance Zone’s Salsa and Latin dance night at the Port Coquitlam branch of the Royal Canadian Legion (2675 Shaughnessy St.) where instructors Alberto Gonzalez and Teresa Szefler will lead a beginners dance class from 8 to 9 p.m. before opening up the dance floor until midnight. Admission to the 19+ event is $15 at the door.
