Spring home show
The Tri-City Home Show returns to the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St., Coquitlam) to showcase home improvement and building products as well as services, samples and specials. Design Alley Interiors hosts the Show Seminar Theatre, featuring designers Ronnie Hough and Michelle Maggs. Admission is free. The event runs from 1 to 6 p.m. on Friday.

Teen bands, bowling
Teens can hear from the bands Deliquescent and Chinoiserie at the Youth Rock 'N Bowl Concert Series, happening at 5:30 p.m. and at 8 p.m. at PoCo Bowl (2263 McAllister Ave., Port Coquitlam). The $25 entry includes the youth entertainment, two slices of pizza, a drink, two games of bowling and bowling shoes.

Legion dance
Cut a rug at the Coquitlam branch of the Royal Canadian Legion (1025 Ridgeway Ave., Coquitlam) with the band Front Page. The music starts at 7 p.m.

Crossroads Coffeehouse
Pull up a seat in the Gathering Place at Leigh Square (next to Port Coquitlam City Hall) for a live musical performance in aid of the Crossroads Hospice Society. At 7:30 p.m., Ivan Boudreau and Brian Nicholl take the stage while Tom Rawson headlines the show at 8:50 p.m. Entry is $10 cash at the door.
