Port Moody police working to identify body found off Rocky Point Park

The Port Moody Police Department is working to determine the identity of a body found in the Burrard Inlet off Rocky Point Park on Saturday.

Port Moody police say the death of a person whose body was found in the Burrard Inlet off Rocky Point Park Saturday is likely not suspicious.

Spokesperson Const. Sam Zacharias said the body was discovered around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.

He said the person was removed by first responders and pronounced dead at the scene.

Port Moody police is working with the B.C. Coroners Service to determine the person's identity and circumstance of their death.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact our investigators,” Zacharias said.
