Port Moody police release images of two teens accused of attack

Do you recognize these two teenagers? Police say they were involved in a violent attack outside of a Port Moody liquor store on Jan. 22, 2025.

A Good Samaritan who tried to stop two teens from allegedly stealing booze was assaulted outside of a Port Moody liquor store last week.

Now, police are calling for help from the public to identify and locate the young suspects.

In a news release issued today, Jan. 28, Const. Sam Zacharias said the violence happened on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at around 5:45 p.m. by an undisclosed Inlet Centre liquor shop after a man in his 50s tried to stop one of the teens from allegedly swiping a product inside the store.

Outside, the teens allegedly beat the citizen in the head for intervening; he now has a concussion, Const. Sam Zacharias of the Port Moody Police Department told the Tri-City News.

Officers weren’t able to find the suspects after store staff called police, he said.

They are described as:

  • in their lates teens
  • Caucasian males
  • one has dark shaggy hair
    • he was wearing a distinctive hoodie with yellow markings on it
  • the other teen has short light brown hair

“We are turning to the public to help us identify these suspects” Zacharias said in releasing the images of the two suspects.
