If you were at last weekend’s May Days festival in downtown Port Coquitlam, the city wants to hear from you about its 101st annual party.
The municipality is asking residents to fill out a short online survey about the event for a chance to win a $150 gift card to any Port Coquitlam business.
The poll is open until June 2.
Sponsored in part by the Tri-City News, the May Days celebration drew more than 15,000 people to its opening on Sunday, May 5 at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, and the Rotary parade and Party in the Square on Saturday, May 11.
According to city staff, the kids’ bike race — prior to the start of the procession — saw a record number of entries with more than 500 participants cycling along Shaughnessy Street.
The May Days parade is one of the biggest in Metro Vancouver and featured floats, marching bands and dancers from more than 90 groups and businesses.
The parade was led by marshals Walter and Bonnie Van Drimmelen, long-time Port Coquitlam volunteers.
