Port Coquitlam is putting the call out to local businesses and organizations that want to participate in the city’s May Days market on Saturday, May 11.
The market is part of Port Coquitlam’s 101st spring celebration that begins May 5 with opening ceremonies at Jon Baillie Arena in the city’s new Community Centre and culminates May 11 with the Rotary May Day parade, a kids bike race and the party in the square that includes the market.
The free market runs from 12 to 6 p.m. along Wilson Street in front of the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. According to a statement on the city’s website, it “offers local businesses a platform to exhibit their products and services to a large audience of over 10,000 attendees.”
Participating businesses are encouraged to create a fun, engaging display for their booth, which will be promoted on the city’s website and social media channels.
The cost to participate is $25 for Port Coquitlam businesses or non-profit organizations and $75 for those from outside the city.
Applications for a booth are being accepted online until March 30.
