You can shop early for the holidays through an online auction while also supporting an arts venue in Coquitlam.
From Oct. 19 to Nov. 2, Place des Arts will host its eighth annual virtual fundraiser with a goal of collecting $15,000 for program subsidies for families in financial need, as well as community outreach initiatives and equipment.
About 70 items will be up for grabs via the platform 32auctions.com/placedesarts, including:
- a roundtrip flight for two from Vancouver to Tofino
- a two-night stay at Water’s Edge Shoreside Suites in Ucluelet
- an overnight at the Swinomish Casino & Lodge
- two $250 gift cards to Coquitlam Centre
- a gift certificate for four hours with the Kumsheen Rafting Resort
- a Victoria family adventure package
- a tour and tasting at the Lulu Island Winery
- eight admission passes to Kidtropolis
Established in 1972, Place des Arts is a nonprofit arts education centre located in Maillardville at 1120 Brunette Ave., in Coquitlam.
The Place des Arts' auction starts after the Amanda Todd Legacy Society online auction ends.
As of today, Oct. 2, that fundraiser, which started on Oct. 1 and wraps up on Oct. 14, has collected more $12,000 toward its $15,000 target.
