Learn to Salsa in Coquitlam for Latin Heritage Month

Place des Arts in Coquitlam will host 5, 6, 7, SALSA! at its next pARTy@PdA event on Friday, Oct. 18.

You can learn how to dance Salsa-style at Coquitlam’s Place des Arts for Latin Heritage Month in October.

The Maillardville facility (1120 Brunette Ave.) will host 5, 6, 7, SALSA! at its next pARTy@PdA event on Friday, Oct. 18.

The adult-only session runs from 7 to 9 p.m. with teacher Sofia Sanchez, a Latin American- and Venezuelan-trained traditional dancer and a belly dancer.

Sanchez, who is a teacher with World Dance Co and at SFU, regularly performs around Metro Vancouver.

At her workshop at Place des Arts, students will learn the foundations of Salsa dancing.
