A man whose body was found near Rocky Point Park in Port Moody last weekend did not die suspiciously.
Const. Sam Zacharias of the Port Moody Police Department (PMPD) said today, Dec. 11, that investigators have confirmed the identity of the man, who was in his 50s, and have ruled out foul play.
The case is now with the BC Coroners Service.
The man was found floating in the Port Moody Inlet, by the boat launch, on Saturday, Dec. 7, at about 3:30 p.m. at the popular park — located in the 2800-block of Murray Street.
He was removed by first responders and pronounced dead on the scene.
