Movie lovers can now be transported into a film at Coquitlam’s Cineplex Cinemas.

The company recently opened a ScreenX auditorium at its Schoolhouse Street venue, giving movie-goers a 270-degree panoramic view of their flick and filling the viewers’ peripheral vision.

Currently, Cineplex has 18 ScreenX auditoriums in Canada and three in B.C. — Coquitlam, Langley and Vancouver (Scotiabank Theatre).

With 20 auditoriums and 724 seats, the Coquitlam theatre offers several “enhanced experiences” for ticket holders, including:

  • IMAX
  • UltraAVX
  • D-BOX
  • RealD 3D
  • VIP Cinemas

The Wild Robot, an animation film by DreamWorks, is the first film for Coquitlam Cineplex movie-goers to experience the new ScreenX theatre.

For tickets to a ScreenX show, you can visit the Cineplex website.
