Have you seen Christopher Ellis?
He's wanted by B.C. police for a recent stint of robbery-related offences in Vancouver, which is a familiar Tri-Cities tune for the 45-year-old suspect.
A warrant was officially issued last Monday (March 13) for Ellis, and now, as efforts to find him have come up short, Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers is turning to the public for help.
According to online B.C. court services, Ellis was most recently found guilty in June 2014 in Port Coquitlam provincial court for breaching a long-term probation order.
Twelve years earlier, in June 2002, he was charged for robbery in Coquitlam — one of several stints across the Lower Mainland in a two-month span.
Ellis was also guilty in provincial court for possession of stolen property (August 1996) and theft under $5,000 (May 1997) in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam respectively.
Crime Stoppers notes his current arrest warrant is for the following:
- Three counts = kidnapping
- One count = robbery
- One count = possession of stolen property
- One count = dangerous driving
- One count = flight while pursued
Ellis is described as:
- 6'1"
- 201 pounds
- Brown hair
- Brown eyes
Anyone who sees Ellis or knows of his whereabouts is encouraged to anonymously contact Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or go online to www.solvecrime.ca.
If a member of the public comes forward with tips that lead to an arrest and charge, they could be eligible for a $5,000 reward.
