Here's what's on in the Tri-Cities for Friday, June 7, 2024: 


School carnival

Bouncy houses, balloon twisters, carnival games and food trucks will be at Walton Elementary in Coquitlam (2960 Walton Ave.) from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. for the schools’s 35th anniversary carnival. Admission is free. Punch cards for 10 games are $12 each.

Legion music

Dance to the music of RePlay, which plays at the Coquitlam branch of the Royal Canadian Legion (1025 Ridgeway Ave.) from 7 to 11 p.m.

Crow presentation

Author and artist Dr. Rob Butler will talk about the world of crows during a presentation at the Inlet Theatre inside Port Moody City Hall (100 Newport Dr.) at 7:30 p.m. Donations are welcome with proceeds supporting Mossom Creek Hatchery.

Bat Walk and Talk

Join Coquitlam city staff and volunteers with the Burke Mountain Naturalists on a walk to observe bats at Como Lake Park (680 Gatensbury St.). The walk is from 8:30 to 10 p.m.; meet in the southern parking lot.
