Head to the Terry Fox Hometown Plaza behind the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.) to check out the food, drinks and handmade products at the weekly Port Coquitlam Farmers Market. Running from 3 to 7 p.m., the gathering organized by the Fraser North Farmers Market Society is kid- and dog-friendly and includes live music.

Croquet, anyone?
The Port Coquitlam Community Foundation is back with its annual croquet tournament, a charitable fundraiser to benefit PoCo groups and hosted by Mayor Brad West. The winning team of the tournament will win the coveted Golden Mallet award. The day-long event at Citadel Middle School (1265 Citadel Dr.) is sponsored by Galactic Entertainment, Mosaic and Wesbild.
