Advance voting
You can vote early in the provincial election. To vote, you must be a Canadian citizen, 18 or older on Oct. 19, 2024, and have been a B.C. resident since April 18, 2024. Bring two pieces of ID with your photo and address. Do you know who is running for MLA? Visit the tricitynews.com, click on the "News" tab and view "BC Votes 2024" for the candidate profiles. Do you know what constituency you live in? There are five new electoral boundaries for the Tri-Cities in the 2024 race.

New book
Meet Port Moody author A.J. Devlin who is releasing his latest book in the Hammerhead Jed series, Bronco Buster, at Parkside Brewery (2731 Murray St., Port Moody) from noon to 4 p.m. A dollar from each book sold will go to Devlin’s son’s soccer team: the Port Moody U14 D3 “Hammerheads.”

Live art demo
Artist Baran Sabahi will offer a live demonstration at the Town Centre Park Community Centre (1207 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) from 2 to 4 p.m. as part of the City of Coquitlam’s visual art exhibition at the facility and at the Maillardville Community Centre, and part of Culture Days. There is no cost to attend.

Legion dance

Neon Salsa night
Join the Salsa Dance Zone as it hosts a dance class at 8 p.m., followed by a neon dance party until midnight, at Site B Brewery in Port Moody (3012 Murray St.). The event is for ages 19 and up. Admission is $15 at the door.
