Job seekers can head over to the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) where, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Tri-Cities' WorkBC Centres will host a Tri-Cities Job Fair. Admission is free. Employers on site will include Anytime Moving Services; BCIB (British Columbia Infrastructure Benefits); City of Coquitlam; Home Instead; Jacob Bros Construction; Lordco Auto Parts; Metro Traffic Management; TD Bank; Vansa Renovation; and Vision 2 Reality.

Highway of Tears

The Tri-Cities branch of Amnesty International will host the film Highway of Tears by Matt Smiley, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Centre branch of the Coquitlam Public Library (1169 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam). The documentary looks at the effect that the disappearances and murders along the Highway of Tears in northern B.C. have had on Indigenous people. There will be petitions to sign and other information on human rights in Canada and across the globe. Admission is free; no registration is required.
