Vintage market
Support the after-grad committee at Port Moody Secondary (300 Albert St.) as it hosts a vintage market fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Shop for unique treasures at the market. Entry is by donation. A second market will be held on May 10 in the school gym. The vendor include Messy Beans Vintage, My Rusty Bench, Wow Finds and Jan’s Vintage.

Be animal aware
Officials from Parks Canada’s Learn to Camp team will be at the City Centre branch of the Coquitlam Public Library (1169 Pinetree Way) from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. to talk about wildlife. The talk is geared for kids ages seven to 12. And, from 2 to 3 p.m., the team will speak to an all-ages crowd about camping responsibly and what to bring on an outdoor trip.

Ring of Fire
Hear the songs of Johnny Cash in a musical production from the Arts Club on Tour called Ring of Fire. The show is at 3 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam). Tickets are $59/$49/$16.

Legion dance
Cut a rug at the Coquitlam branch of the Royal Canadian Legion (1025 Ridgeway Ave., Coquitlam) with the band Rhythm Street. The music starts at 7 p.m.
