It’s the 43rd year of the Coquitlam Christmas Craft Fair and shoppers are invited to hunt for handmade holiday gifts and treats at the Poirier Forum (618 Poirier St., Coquitlam) over the weekend. Admission is $5/$3. There is no charge for kids ages 12 and under. Today’s event is from 3 to 9 p.m.

Nutcracker jazz
Catch a performance by the Fred Stride Jazz Orchestra at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) at 7:30 p.m. as it plays Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn’s adaptation of The Nutcracker Suite and other holiday songs. Tickets are $52/$44/$36. The show is produced by Gregory and Kris Elgstrand.
