Port Coquitlam woman dies in fatal weekend Okanagan crash

Two PoCo women were the occupants of a single-vehicle collision 45 km west of Kamloops; the passenger died while the driver was taken to hospital.

A Port Coquitlam woman was found dead at the scene of a single-vehicle collision in the north Okanagan this past weekend.

She was one of two women, both from PoCo, involved in the crash on Sunday, Aug. 11, along the Trans Canada Highway east of Savona — a community roughly 45 km west of Kamloops.

The passenger died from the incident, while the driver was taken to hospital with serious "and believed to be life threatening injuries," according to Mounties.

Tk’emlups Rural RCMP and BC Highway Patrol responded to the crash.
