A Port Coquitlam actor plays the hopeful Mrs. Cratchit in a new musical adaption of A Christmas Carol.
Ashlyn O’Shea is cast as Bob Cratchit’s wife and a laundress in the show that’s based on Charles Dickens’ classic novel staged by Theatre in the Country (TiC) from Nov. 29 to Dec. 16 in Langley.
TiC veteran Kelly Westra takes on the role of Scrooge.
"The story is a beautiful bridge between what modern audiences now consider 'the holiday spirit' and what was a beloved tradition of Christmases long past," said director Rachel Stephens in a news release.
Tickets for opening night include a champagne reception and attendees are entered to win two dinner–theatre tickets.
