Man previously charged for Port Coquitlam theft wanted by police

Alex Leon is wanted for theft under $5,000 in Chilliwack, and was once previously charged for a similar crime in Port Coquitlam.

A 40-year-old man wanted for a recent crime of theft under $5,000 is sought by B.C. police.

And Alex Leon has been previously charged for the offence in other jurisdictions across the Lower Mainland, including Port Coquitlam.

An arrest warrant was formally issued for Leon on Tuesday (Aug. 8) out of Chilliwack.

Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers are now asking the public to keep a watchful eye for Leon as efforts to find him have come up short.

In October 2002, Leon was caught in the act of theft under $5,000 in Port Coquitlam.

He was found guilty in January the next year and was sentenced to a week in jail and 18 months probation, according to B.C. online court services.

Leon is described as:

  • 5'8"
  • 170 pounds
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes
