Man charged after nurse assaulted at Port Moody hospital

Port Moody Police say the nurse sustained serious injuries.

A 41-year-old man is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm after a nurse at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody was attacked on Nov. 20.

A 41-year-old man is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm after a nurse in Port Moody was attacked on Nov. 20, 2024.

Port Moody Police spokesperson Const. Sam Zacharias said officers were called to Eagle Ridge Hospital just before noon after a nurse was allegedly assaulted by a discharged patient.

Zacharias said the nurse sustained serious injuries.

Shawn Bradley Forsythe, of no fixed address, was immediately arrested.

Forsythe is scheduled to appear at Port Coquitlam Provincial Court on Feb. 10, 2025.
