Re: Coquitlam library branch in City Centre is now the main hub (Dec. 18, 2024)

Although it is welcome news to me as a senior, I doubt I will live long enough to see a new City Centre library.

I try to avoid this library, as I am still able to drive, I find the parkade atrocious and intimidating.

It is dark and dingy and usually unclean.

The elevator is the slowest I have encountered. I have a fair bit of nervousness while waiting.

I also find frequently I cannot find an empty space.

I tend to drive to the Poirier branch — even though it is a much longer drive from Falcon Drive.

I often hear staff say, “You’re not the only one,” when picking up an ordered book at Poirier and express my apprehension about the City Centre branch.
