Port Moody's Dirk Henke will bring his Johnny Cash tribute act back for a home show this month.
The musician and songwriter will play the Man in Black - along with Kylee Epp portraying June Carter Cash - at The Point Pub (2524 St. John's St., Port Moody) on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 8 p.m. Epp was the winner of the Ray McAuley Horizon Award at last year's BC Country Music awards show in Vancouver.
The pair will sing songs from the Sun Sessions as well as Cash's country hits and gospel standards.
Among his favourites, Ring of Fire, Walk the Line, Boy Named Sue and Ghost Riders in the Sky.
Henke's last performance at Port Moody's Inlet Theatre was sold-out.

THEATRE JOB
School District 43 is now looking for manager to operate Port Coquitlam's Terry Fox Theatre.
The position became available last month after SD43 announced the Port Coquitlam Theatre Society (PCTS) would not be renewing its contract to run the 336-seat theatre that is attached to Terry Fox secondary school.
Its five-year agreement ended June 30.
The competition closes next week.

Students at Coquitlam Music in Port Coquitlam have penned an anti-bullying song.
Under the direction of teacher Steve Gendron, the group called Alumni - aged between nine to 15 - wrote the tune Bully, What's the Point of You? and shot a music video for it.

It may have been sunny all July but a group of SFU marketing students have created a video parodying Vancouver's poor weather for their course assignment.

Little artwork made in any media can be shown as part of Place des Arts' annual Positively Petite exhibit this fall.
The Maillardville facility is calling for artists to submit their tiny pieces by Oct. 20 for the display that runs from Nov. 14 to Dec. 20 - just in time for the Christmas shopping season.
The opening gala reception on Nov. 14 coincides with the opening of the centre's Christmas Boutique.
