Time to re-think dyslexia, movie night in Port Moody

Groups supporting children and families experiencing dyslexia will be airing the Sundance-winning film The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia as a fundraiser and information night.

Groups supporting children and families experiencing dyslexia will be airing the Sundance-winning film The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia as a fundraiser and information night.

The film has received critical acclaim and discusses the myths, stigmas and truths about the learning challenge that effects many people. The movie night is being put on by the Family Resource Centre, School District 43's District Parent Advisory Council with support from Stepping 4 Words Learning Centre.

It will be shown Thursday, Feb. 13 at Heritage Woods secondary school and tickets are $3 for a single and $5 for two people. Proceeds will go to the Heritage Woods library to support dyslexic students.
