Kids Cottage Day Care is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a carnival next week on the Riverview Hospital grounds in Coquitlam
The event, rain or shine, is planned for Sunday, July 28 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include entertainment, performers, concessions, bouncy rides, face painting, kids tattoos and a tarot reader, among other things. There will also be a raffle for a Westjet trip for two.
Daycare worker Jacquie Peel, who has been with the parent-run, non-profit for two decades, said staff and parents wanted to celebrate the milestone and have invited former employees, board members, adults who went there as kids and the general public.
"It's taken a whole community to keep it running," Peel said.
