The Kodiaks lost 1-0, but they will be one of three local teams travelling to Richmond to play in the BC AAA provincial field hockey championships, Nov. 15 to 17.

They’ll be joined at the provincial tournament by Dr. Charles Best secondary, which finished third in the regional final following their victory over Centennial in the bronze medal match. The Centaurs also earned a berth in the provincials.

District champions, Gleneagle, finished sixth and failed to advance.
