The Coquitlam Adanacs will use their last game of the Western Lacrosse Association regular season to honour long-time team doctor Donald Hedges during an alumni event.
Hedges has been with the squad for three decades, serving as both physician and president over the years.
In that time, he has won several awards for his work, including the Best Practices Award from Sports Medicine B.C. and Physician of the Year honours from Community Sports Medicine. He is also a Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame indcutee in the builders category.
The Adanacs will play their last regular season game on Aug. 6 against the Victoria Shamrocks at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex. The game starts at 7 p.m.
