The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce honoured the best companies and professionals at its gala last Saturday in Coquitlam. The 2019 Business Excellence Awards went to:
• Aging My Way Home Care, Business of the Year (one to 10 employees);
• Creative Transportation Solutions, Business of the Year (11 to 30 employees);
• Coast Therapy, Business of the Year (more than 30 employees);
• Wesbild, Community Spirit Award;
• New View Society, Not-for-Profit of the Year
• Ryan Peterson (Finger Food Advanced Technology Group), Business Leader of the Year;
• Kelso Kennedy (RedStamp Agency), Young Professional of the Year;
• and Lisa Beecroft (Gabi and Jules), Chamber Member of the Year.
Last year, Beecroft’s company was named Inclusive Employer of the Year by the Tri-Cities Employment Roundtable; it also won the Port Moody Spike Award for inclusive excellence. As well, she is the founding member of Shop Local Port Moody.
“The stories of perseverance and determination were inspiring to everyone in the room," said Chamber CEO Michael Hind, in a news release. "We are proud to have a wealth of outstanding businesses right here in our backyard. Everyday, they're making differences that shape our business community for the better."
