Americans have been celebrating National Coffee Day for the past few years on Sep. 29, but Canadians actually have more reason to celebrate. A total of 63% of Canadians over the age of 18 drink coffee on a daily basis, making it the number one beverage choice of adult Canadians, surpassing milk, juice, soft drinks and beer. Only 49% of Americans drink coffee on a daily basis.
"Since more Canadians drink coffee per capita than Americans, we felt it was high time we celebrated coffee with Canadians," says Tim Donegan, vice president for 7-Eleven Canada Inc. "This is our opportunity to thank our Canadian customers for 42 years of support and it's a chance to introduce them to our extensive coffee beverage line."
7-Eleven's exclusive blendis made from 100 per cent premium Arabica beans and is freshly brewed every 20 minutes. Rather than having someone behind a counter preparing your morning cup, 7-Eleven's coffee program allows you to make your coffee any way you like it, with no extra charges for cappuccinos, lattes or for syrups and toppings.
"Try it. You'll like it. How can you beat a free coffee?" asks Donegan. "We'll have the coffee flowing steadily from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. this Thursday. It'll be a small thank you to our regular customers and a way to welcome new guests to a 'great coffee'."
