The Coquitlam Farmers Market is back in the parking lot of Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam) on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Grab your fabric grocery bags, shop for local produce and chat with the vendors.

New community hub
Coquitlam’s Innovation Centre, next to the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way), is now the Town Centre Park Community Centre. And from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., residents are invited to check out the renovated facility. The grand opening will include free family activities, arts and crafts and tours.

Mother’s Day
Honour mom at a Mother’s Day Tea in a 1921 train car at the POMO Museum (2734 Murray St., Port Moody). Tea and baked goods will be served at the hour-long reserved seatings: 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets are $20/$12. Seating is limited.

Ukulele jam
Help the CUTIE (Coquitlam Ukulele Tiny Instrument Enthusiasts) Circle mark its 10th year at a public jam session at Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) from 1 to 6 p.m. Bring your instrument or enjoy the live performances and beginners workshops.

Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) invites caregivers and their kids to the spring Family Day at PdA, on from 1 to 3 p.m. Led by faculty members, the free event includes art activities and performing arts. Pre-registration is encouraged.

Jazz vocalist
Treat mom to a musical show with Andrea Superstein called Oh Mother, at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) at 7:30 p.m. Her multimedia concert was inspired by real life stories about motherhood. Tickets are $37/$34/$16.
