Coquitlam Youth Week
Registration closes today for Coquitlam’s Youth Week scavenger hunt. Students ages 11 to 18 can sign up as individuals or a group to take part in the hunt around the city, taking selfies and discovering new places along the way.

PoCo Youth Week
The City of Port Coquitlam is also marking BC Youth Week with lots of activities for teens, starting today. The opening celebrations are from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Hyde Creek Recreation Centre (1379 Laurier Ave.) youth lounge and 3 to 7:30 p.m. at the youth activity lounge at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.).

Brave Spaces
Hear from the 2SLGBTQ+ members in the Tri-Cities at the Coquitlam Public Library’s Brave Spaces: Pride Community drop-in event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the City Centre branch (1169 Pinetree Way).

Mamma Mia
Support the musical theatre students at Gleneagle Secondary in Coquitlam (1195 Lansdowne Dr.) as they present Mamma Mia! Directed by drama teacher Justin Maller with choreography by Madison Simms, the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15/$12/$10.

Elephant Man
The story of the life of John Merrick, who was born with rare skin and bone diseases, comes to life at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way) at 7:30 p.m. — courtesy of Stage 43 Theatrical Society. Written by Bernard Pomerance, the Elephant Man is the last play of the season for the Coquitlam company. Tickets are $28/$24/$18.
