Hundreds of U13 baseball players with Little League Canada will descend on Mackin Park in Coquitlam in July 2024 for the intermediate nationals. National baseball

Cheer on the B.C. teams taking part in the 2024 Intermediate Canadian Championship for Little League Canada. Hundreds of 13U provincially winning players, their coaches and supporters from across the country will be at Mackin Park in Coquitlam (1046 Brunette Ave.) from July 17 to 24 for a chance to win the title and advance to the international competition in California. Volunteers and donors are sought.

Lunchtime tunes

Take some time out while shopping or getting services in downtown Port Coquitlam by stopping by city hall (2850 Shaughnessy St.), where from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the municipality will have its Lunchtime Music Series at Veterans Park. Today’s entertainer is The Shoe Shakers.

PoMo market

Head over to the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Rd.) where the southern parking lot will be filled with vendors for the weekly summer farmers market, on from 3 to 7 p.m. The market is run by the Grow Local Society.
