Tour the Coquitlam Farmers Market and talk to vendors about their fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as other produce and handcrafted wares, in the parking lot at Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Ave., Coquitlam) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Don’t forget your grocery bags for shopping!

Terry Fox Runs
Help to fund the Terry Fox Research Institute and other cancer-fighting agencies by taking part in the 44th annual Terry Fox Run, named after Port Coquitlam’s hero. Community runs are happening in Fox’s hometown at 10 a.m. at the Hyde Creek Recreation Centre (1379 Laurier St., Port Coquitlam), as well as Coquitlam at the Mundy Park clubhouse (Hillcrest Street); and Port Moody at Rocky Point Park. If you cannot attend, donate online to support the cause. Note that roads will be temporarily closed in Port Coquitlam for the event.

Tree Tour
Learn about Coquitlam’s world-class arboretum at səmiq̓ʷəʔelə/Riverview Lands, off the Lougheed Highway. The free guided walk is from 1 to 3 p.m, leaving from the upper parking lot of the Henry Esson Young (HEY) building; look for tree tour signs. Dogs must be leashed.

Budget survey
Today is the deadline for Coquitlam residents to have their say in the city's plans for Budget 2025. The survey is open until midnight for home and business owners to have a voice on civic services and programs for next year, as well as potential property tax lifts.
