Bring your favourite board game — or find one at the Coquitlam Public Library — for an afternoon of fun. From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., the City Centre branch (1169 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) will host Let’s Play Board Games, appropriate for ages eight and up. No experience or registration are needed.

Salsa steps
The Salsa Dance Zone hosts a Salsa dance lesson at 8 p.m. — followed by a dance party until midnight — at the Port Coquitlam branch of the Royal Canadian Legion (2675 Shaughnessy St.). Admission is $15 at the door.
