Coffeehouse tunes

Hear music from Stringz Aloud and Steve Somers at the bimonthly Crossroads Coffeehouse, a fundraiser for the Tri-City hospice, happening in the Gathering Place at Leigh Square (200-2253 Leigh Sq., Port Coquitlam). Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10.

Rockin’ the 263

Dance to the live music from Rhythm Street at the Coquitlam branch of the Royal Canadian Legion (1025 Ridgeway St.) from 7 to 11 p.m.

Dr. Strangelove

Grab a seat in the Inlet Theatre inside Port Moody City Hall (100 Newport Dr.) at 7:30 p.m. for the 1964 film Dr. Strangelove. Starring Peter Sellers and George C. Scott, the movie was directed by Stanley Kubrick. Admission is $5 (cash or cheque) plus a $5 annual membership fee to the Port Moody Film Society.
