Olympian Valerie Jerome will speak about political activism in the last of the Brave Spaces Speaker Series at the City Centre branch of the Coquitlam Public Library (1169 Pinetree Way). The talk is on from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in rooms 136 and 137.

Lucas Myers performs in a one-person show he wrote called ROOF, a comedy about confronting personal shortcomings. The play starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam (1205 Pinetree Way). Tickets are $47/$40/$16.
