Centennial Secondary students Siryn and Phoenix Cowie direct the musical theatre students at the Coquitlam high school (570 Poirier St.) in Grease, with choreography by Makenna and Tessa Jung. The show starts at 1 p.m. Tickets are $19/$15.

Swing dance
Grab your dance shoes for a swing night with a 19-piece Big Band. The Bruce James Orchestra is at the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) at 7 p.m. that starts with a one-hour swing dance lesson. Tickets are $25 for general admission; reserved tables for four are $150.

CCR tribute
Bad Moon Riders, a CCR tribute band, plays songs like “Proud Mary,” “Fortunate Son” and “Bad Moon Rising” at the Inlet Theatre (inside Port Moody City Hall) at 7:30 p.m. A Bachman Turner Overdrive tribute act will open the show.

Salsa moves
Take a cha-cha-cha lesson then dance the night away with the Salsa Dance Zone at the Royal Canadian Legion (2675 Shaughnessy St., Port Coquitlam) from 8 p.m. to midnight. The event is for ages 19+. Admission is $15 at the door.
