Nick Perry, a teacher in School District 43 (43), releases his novel Broken Water, a story about an atheist who becomes a Catholic priest, at 1 p.m. at Yellow Dog Brewing (1-2817 Murray St., Port Moody). He will sell and sign copies of his book, which is published via Chicken House Press.

The Art of Sarod
Sarod players Dwaipayan Ray and Hriday Buddhdev perform an Indian classical music concert at Place des Arts (1120 Brunette Ave., Coquitlam) at 1:30 p.m. The show is supported by the Bandish Network and the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra. Tickets are $26/$21.
