Make, bake

Pick up local produce and freshly made treats at the Port Moody Winter Farmers Market, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays in the parking lot next to the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Rd.).

Tea train

Hop on the Venosta, the 1921 train car parked outside POMO Museum (2734 Murray St., Port Moody) for a holiday tea. Reserved seatings are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets are $20/$12.

Choral music

Join Choral Connections as it presents Noel, Sing We Clear, a holiday music show at the Terry Fox Theatre (1260 Riverwood Gate, Port Coquitlam) at 2 p.m. The musical director of the choir is Ingrid Gay, a teacher at Port Moody’s Heritage Woods Secondary; Vincent Lo is on piano. Tickets are $25/$20.

Port Moody puck

Catch the Port Moody Panthers in action at home in the Port Moody Recreation Complex (300 Ioco Rd.) as they meet the Delta Ice Hawks for a game at 6:15 p.m.

Prairie Christmas

Vancouver harpist Janelle Nadeau returns to the Evergreen Cultural Centre (1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) for A Prairie Christmas at 7:30 p.m. The solo show includes original, Celtic and contemporary tunes for the holidays. Nadeau, who has performed with Diana Krall, Kanye West and other celebrity musicians, is the acting principal harpist with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra and performs with the Turning Point Ensemble in Vancouver. Tickets are $41/$37/$16.
