PoCo Farmers Market

Take advantage of the seasonal fruits and vegetables available at the weekly Port Coquitlam Farmers Market, running from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Terry Fox Hometown Square, south of the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (2150 Wilson Ave.). The market ends on Sept. 26, 2024.

Exhibit Opens

Meet the artists behind the new Art 4 Life exhibit at PoMoArts (2425 St. Johns St., Port Moody): David Carey, Jennie Cole, Chris Culos, Julie Epp, Lynne Fahnestalk, Ian Freemantle, Harmonie Garry, Tamara Grant, James Groening, Eileen Harder, Yin Chen Huang, Laurie L Jones, Elika Keshavarz, Sojung Kim, Tracy Laliberte, Alexander Lecce, Malcolm MacPhail, Azadeh Mehryar, Marika Morissette, Bethany Pardoe, Sharon Reay, Kayla Rilling, Barbara Tevarotto, Terri Van Sleuwen, Yuan Wen, Pam Zenkawich and Mohan Zhang. The opening reception for the group display is from 6 to 8 p.m. PoMoArts’ ceramic artist-in-residence Azadeh Mehryar will also showcase their work. Refreshments will be served.

Women Rising

The Low Entropy Foundation hosts Women Rising: Advancing Women’s Leadership, in the City Centre branch of the Coquitlam Public Library (1169 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) from 6 to 8 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be provided to participants of the free networking and empowerment event.
