Port Moody is already renowned for its craft breweries on Murray Street and another about to open on St. Johns Street.
But imagine being able to sample dozens of local beers without walking?
The Port Moody Rotary Club’s annual Search for the Perfect Pint is scheduled to take place Friday, May 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. at city hall (100 Newport Dr.).
Tickets are already on sale for the fundraising event for Rotary to support various local organizations.
This includes the Mossom Creek hatchery, the Burrard Inlet Marine Enhancement Society, SHARE and the Port Moody Soccer Club, as well as a scholarship program for students at Heritage Woods Secondary.
The Search for the Perfect Pint is just that, a one-stop opportunity to sample beers from about 20 different craft breweries from around the province including local favourites like Moody Ales and Burnaby’s Dageraad, as well as several food vendors. There’s also live music.
The $50 admission ticket includes a sample glass and all the samples of beer and food you can handle, with no additional tokens required. But tickets sales are limited to 600.
Tickets are available on the event’s website, which also keeps an updated list of participating breweries as they sign on.
