A new passport won’t help you get across the border, but it could be your ticket to trying some new beers in Port Moody.
BC Ale Trail is bringing its new tasting passport promotion to the city’s Brewers Row for February.
Beer enthusiasts can pick up the special passports at one of the six breweries along Murray Street, then begin collecting stamps for the beers they enjoy at each brewery for a chance to win a grand prize staycation package that includes:
- a two-night stay at the At the Beach Retreat on Port Moody’s north shore
- gift cards for Taps and Tacos as well as Rocky Point Ice Cream
- a $40 gift card from one of the city's participating breweries
- a one-month TransLink Compass Card
- BC Ale Trail swag
Beer lovers can fill as many passports as they can quaff responsibly to submit multiple entries.
It’s also a good idea to use transit to travel to their sudsy destination as each passport features a special TransLink bonus square that earns you a chance to win a one-month transit pass and a BC Ale Trail prize pack.
Fortunately, Brewers Row is just a short walk over the Moody Street overpass from the Moody Centre SkyTrain station.
The promotion begins today (Feb. 1) and runs to Feb. 28.
The Port Moody breweries participating are:
- Brave Brewing, 2617 Murray St.
- Moody Ales & Co., 2601 Murray St.
- Parkside Brewing, 2731 Murray St.
- Rewind Beer Col., 2809 Murray St.
- Twin Sails Brewing, 2821 Murray St.
- Yellow Dog Brewing, 1-2817 Murray St.
A North of the Fraser Ale Trail passport is also available at 11 breweries in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Burnaby and New Westminster.
As well, breweries in Delta, Richmond, Surrey, White Rock, Vancouver and East Vancouver are also participating in the passport promotion.
