Event a success

The event was attended by invitees only, due to limited seating, and was sponsored by the Evergreen Cultural Centre, Quantus Homes, Thrifty Foods and Sandpiper Signs & Decals Inc.

Carol Cahoon, Coquitlam school trustee and the foundation’s executive director, noted that the past year had been an exciting one for grants and scholarship awards.

The attendees were treated to a special performance by Lucas Mason Yao, an eight-year-old musician from Vancouver who has gained global recognition for his exceptional talents in music.

Yao has won top awards in national and international piano competitions since the age of five.
