Families with young children ages two to five can stop by Mackin House in Coquitlam (1116 Brunette Ave.) to decorate cookies, make a craft and listen to a holiday story from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Refreshments will be provided. The cost is $8 per child.

Stop by the Michael Wright Art Gallery at Leigh Square, next to Port Coquitlam City Hall, to see Stories in Light, a juried exhibit by the International Watercolour Society of Canada that recently held its summit in Port Coquitlam. Also, check out the display next door in The Outlet gallery titled Neither Here Nor There, but Everywhere. Neither Then Nor Now, but Forever by Natasha Boskic, Linda Haftner, Pierre Leichner, Alex Lavrov, Johnny Tai, Hoda Mir and Barbara Tevarotto.
