A woman wanted on a warrant under the BC Mental Health Act has been found.
Coquitlam RCMP had called on the public to help locate Michelle Davidson, 21, who after being arrested by Coquitlam RCMP, requested to be transferred to Covenant House, a facility that helps youth.
However, along the way, Davidson walked away from Fraser Health staff who had been tasked to transfer her to the Vancouver facility.
That’s when the Fraser Health team contacted Coquitlam RCMP so they could issue a warrant for her arrest under the BC Mental Health Act.
“Somewhere in between here and there they felt she needed help,” said Coquitlam RCMP spokesperson Const. Deanne Law. “Something was a red flag for them.”
