Port Moody is looking to its future.
And while it may not be able to travel there yet, the city wants to hear from its residents what that future might look like.
Residents are being invited to share their thoughts on Port Moody 2050, a city plan for the next 30 years as it begins the process of updating its official community plan that was last considered in 2014.
“Since then, a lot has changed in our city,” said a press release. “We’re checking in to see if you think we’re still on the right track.”
Through its Engage Port Moody web portal, residents can fill out a survey that will help the city determine its future direction for housing, transportation, parks, environmental protection, economic development and more.
In addition to the survey that closes on Feb. 7, residents can also see a timeline for the city’s engagement process about its plans for the future in neighbourhoods like Moody Centre, the Oceanfront district, Seaview and along Murray Street, as well as share stories about their lives in the city, leave comments or ask questions. They can also sign up to be notified of upcoming engagement events.
