Port Moody police are looking for the public’s help to identify two suspects in an overnight break-in Tuesday at a business in NewPort Village.
PMPD spokesperson, Const. Sam Zacharias, said CCTV footage shows two suspects using a crow bar to enter the shop just after 4 a.m., Feb. 25. They left after about a minute, with about $10,000 worth of goods.
Zacharias said both suspects in the video were wearing dark clothing, as well as gloves and masks. He said one appeared heavy set while the other has a medium build.
Zacharias said audio captured as part of the video indicated the suspects were speaking Farsi to each other.
“Folks in the area may have heard or seen something unusual in NewPort Village Tuesday morning that could assist us with our investigation,” Zacharias said in a news release, adding, “someone likely knows who these individuals are and is also encouraged to contact us.”
Zacharias said if any tipsters want to stay anonymous, they can also contact Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or online at solvecrime.ca.
